Usdisgaanyi

In Xak Tural, past several mountain ranges and across many rivers, there's a place named Usdisgaanyi. It's home to mostly tonawawtan and hhetsarro, and they revere a horned lizard hhetso named Nv'yanoya, or Hide of Sand and Stone, like an Eorzean might exalt one of the Twelve. One item of particular antiquity is their Totem of the Horned Lizard, which is said to grant its wielder the power to petrify any living being with a single look. It is currently in the care of its keeper, who also governs the settlement.

"Doctor"

A queer thing about this community is their local words for things. While they understand when strangers pass through their town ask for "chirurgeons", they refer to their healers as "doctors". Some think it came from one of the original settler's name, who was a chirurgeon.Whatever the truth is, Doc learned all he could from the town's doctor; old magicks that were learned acorss the salt at some point, but the name was lost to the town over the years. Eorzeans who witness him practicing his healing arts will recognise it as conjury, and being from Tural, he sure ain't operating with a liscense.

Big Iron on his Hip

But before all that magic, Casey was something else entirely: a lawman. At least, that's what the folks in Usdisgaanyi call it: some call it peacemaker, most in Shaaloani call it being part of the Dustwatch, but that particular term hasn't yet spread to the faraway settlement. How exactly he went from keeping the peace to setting bones, well, not too many people know, and Doc likes his privacy. But most folk from Usdisgaanyi remember him with two working eyes and no limp. One day, he set down his revolvers and picked up the staff - and Tsosie - and left town for Shaaloani.

A Rambler, A Gambler, A Back-Biter

For two and a half decades, Doc operated out of his small healing practice in Sheshenewezi Springs; he was able to do plenty, from setting bones and mending injuries, even performing surgeries. He often traveled by rroneek or by foot to Hhusatahwi to gamble at the saloon 'til the rroneek came home. Some nights he won big, other nights he was shelling out pel with only mild grumbling. All that changed recently, though. With the current events in Tural, and with all the kids he watched grow up leaving Shaaloani for distant shores, well - the plains felt a lot emptier. And after a chat with Tsosie, who was now also grown, the pair of them decided to head to Tuliyollal - and catch a boat to cross the salt as well, bound for Eorzea.

"These are my kids to look after. It don't matter that they're grown."

Tsosie Peshlakai

“Tsosie was dealt a bad hand when she was little, but she's tough as nails. She's taken punch after punch from life, but she does me proud to keep picking herself back up. A man couldn't ask for a better daughter.”

Tonalpohualli "Tumbleweed" Nahui

“That boy was born with two left feet, but it ain't stopped him yet. I still remember him hidin’ under my desk as a young boy, but he's grown now - and hhetso willin’, he'll grow graceful.”

Huitzilin "Huck" Nahui

“Two of a kind, him and his brother. Well-meanin’ by all means, an’ I hope he holds onto that, I do. Not enough folk value the right things, but Huck, he's got it figured out.”

Nahsota "Nash" Carmine

“The boy has got a mind like the Dawnservant's - lookin’ to the future and a way to improve things. He just needs a little guidance and he'll find his way, sure enough.”

Tehwa "Cheesewheel" Yalu

“I ain't ever met a troublemaker as productive as that boy, an’ that includes myself as a youngster. But his heart is made of gold, and he'll do right by his friends. I just worry for him.”

Balam "Lambchop" Yahari

“Balam's a good kid. He was always lookin’ after the others, even when he didn't have to. He used ta pretend ta be tough, but he don't need ta pretend no more.”

Komeha‘e "Cookie" Ixazaluoh

“If she could bottle energy, she'd be a rich girl. Well-meanin’ an’ always ready to rumble, I'm amazed she hasn't taken down a Vidraal all on her lonesome. Wouldn't be surprised in the least if she did some day.”

Cheyenne "Chey" Esadowa

“The little miss sure did find her calling early in life, and that's ta tell them boys what to do. A firecracker, to be sure.”

OOC ABOUT DOC, Doc has some lore that isn't breaking, but possibly bendy (ex. His hometown is not in-game or named, he's called "doctor", et c) - if this isn't to your taste, feel free to mute me - I won't even know in order to mind it Doc isn't great in combat - but that doesn't mean I'll avoid combat scenarios. I'm comfortable with letting him suffer some Ls. That said, I don't want him killed off any time soon, so please don't try it

OOC ABOUT THE WRITER, I typo a lot I gravitate toward philosophical, theological, combat, and story RP (as a generality)Unless the RP tag is on, I'm OOC Open to whispers, but usually I do walk-ups I'm generally around after 8pm EST during weekdays and any time on weekends
